Never thought I'd see knife knowledge on a meme site

I'd actually have to argue with the idea the Katana is not as efficient in thrusting, I'd actually think it's even more because
It is curved upwards, more in the natural motion that a person would stab, I wouldn't think people stab perfectly straight.

If you hold a Katana like a Katana, its curve does not in any way detract from thrusting or stabbing.
If you hold a Katana like a European sword, youre gonna have a problem. The same does not apply if you hold a Katana like a European sword.
Lastly, what is it with people and Katanas? Wheres the love for Scimitars?

I trained with a sensei from japan and in a certain grip the katana curve makes it perfect for thrusting. In fact its shape makes it better than a straight sword for certain tasks..

The shape of the tip is proven to be effective and strong..

Its a bit of light hearted humour so I don't mind that its not completely accurate :)

Yea, I took it with a grain of salt. Just mostly surprised to hear the term 'leaf shaped blade' on there

I'm little skeptical about the leaf blade handle, as the katana's handle flows with the curved blade.
But yea, smatchet over anything. :D
