I like bigger folders. 3.5" to 4" and up, depending on the knife, i prefer....but once i got the farid k2 in my hand......too big was my first thought. Not just length which i was aware of from the specs. I completely missed the width. What an awesome knife but if it was shrunk down it would be even better. Not too much that its tiny but still large, just scaled down.

Am i the only one?

I feel like design wise the Farid K2 and Slyzz Bowie are very similar. After reading specs I have decided the Slyzz would be a better fit and its on the wishlist

I was the same way. Now, I like a knife on the smaller size but at times I'll EDC a larger folder with my smaller one.

I really jumped on it for the blade steel, but admittedly rarely carry it. It has seen more kitchen duty.

Shocked when I first got it but grown to like it. Disappears in pocket, very thin. Love it, love the shape of the blade and the great construction. Probably buy the smaller version too.

^^^ that's the way I feel about the Chapparal with G10 scales. Small blade, super light & thin, solid build.

We've got municipal bylaws here that makes carrying any type of knives illegal (fine, no arrest). Having a small blade means more discretion and decrease in likelihood that someone will call the police, if they notice it. A small blade, in a EDC role, can do pretty much anything the larger folders can do.

...I no longer carry my beloved Police model. Taking that out in public means trouble, no matter what the intended use is (if I'm not to use it, might as well have a smaller blade).... Don't feel like having the police point anything dangerous my way;)
