Super hydrophobic spray sounds pretty good, I'd like to try it out on a light fabric and see how well it deals with being folded, and a surface that moves.

Possibility for a breathable rainjacket and pants... yep sweet.

If it lasts and breathes... wow! Even if it doesn't breath, for all kinds of interesting, non-clothing stuff... wow anyway! It has some awesome potential.

God bless,
Adam

That's pretty cool. If it works as advertised then cotton could be a viable option. Think of a cotton hoody and how well it breathes and yet sheds rain like goretex. That would be nice.

That was awesome on the video seeing the chocolate syrup just slide right off:thumbup:

Very interesting for sure.
I wonder about the durability though.
I can't wait to see the field test reports next year.

I just got some of this stuff today at Home Depot. It's I'd effing awesome! I coated my boonie hat with it and water literally shoots off of it and it stays dry as a bone. The down side is that it dries as a frosted glass kind if look and isn't clear. Otherwise it would be on my entire car right now. Ha! I put it on my BK-9 and it turned it blue, but it keeps water off big time. I recommend it. The base coat dries like a thin rubbery skin so it's like it adds grip. It's $20 at Home Depot. Rustoleum never wet.

posted about it a couple of weeks before on here as well.. its available at home depot...
Some of the guys tested it for kayaking and put it thru the paces. They used it on cloths, fishing gear and other EQ .. Results are that it didn't last the day came off if it was handled. The one thing the guys that tested it agreed on was that its more of a temporary spray or for very light use. Everyone mentioned that they expected it to work better. Maybe with the hype they expect it to be much better.

Yeah. It doesn't work so well on cloth at all. Once you crumple it, it looses Its hydrophobicity. Works great for long term storage off on steel though. No more storing my kabars and other high carbon blades in oiled paper.
