When it comes to restoring the luster of the brass or nickel-silver furniture of my Randalls, nothing beats NEVR-DULL:

My dad gave me a can a couple years ago, and I love the stuff.

I totally agree with your statement Ken!!! I've spent many an hour polishing countless brass fittings!! Gator-Freighters SUCK!!!

That stuff rocks,i have had a can of that for 20 years it just takes a little,it will polish scratches from blades also.............

A. G. Russell turned me on to Simichrome years ago, and it's all I've ever used. Still, it's always good to know that there are other good products available.

Because, you know, sometimes it seems like polishing brass is actually our hobby, not knife collecting.

You can say that again. You don't seem to spend much time on the other sub-forums; I do, and some of the knuckleheads around here can be enough to make me give serious thought to changing my name to Laszlo, moving to Hollywood, and becoming a cinematographer.

ken, i will get some of that nevr-dull, when my son was in the marine corp, i would get brasso in the same cotton type ticking, my guess is the nevr-dull is probably better, huh.
where do you buy it?

You know, one part of me prefers nickel-silver furniture, but brass is nice because it gives me an excuse to rub my Randalls.

I use semichrome on mine. I bought a carbon bladed 23 in a pawn shop for only $35 because the blade was rusted (20 some years ago but still a bargain). It cleaned up like new with semichrome. It was a very light coat of rust but no pitting. Bo told me he wished he had seen it and that he would have bought it himself. What a gentleman he was.

Does anyone know if nevrdull can touch Macassar Ebony Dymondwood, plastic, rubber, and any other material you would find in a knife and not corrode / eat the material, I want to know if I have to be super careful when using nevrdull to clean my knives. thanks.
