Evenin' Y'all,

I've been meaning to post this and share the joy:D ; I have a new custom 110 on the way, and hopefully should be here next week somtime, I think.
Let me first say that I love Buck knives. Not just the knives themselves, but very much the people of this company. The sales people, the customer service, the craftsman of the Custom Shop, what a great company! I put in my order; which was Brass bolsters, Koa scale handle, BG-42 blade and rivets with no Finger grooves. After a couple of weeks I got this awful realization that while I have owned lots of knives, and many kinds of wood for scales, I have never had a Stag handled knife. I thought "hmmm.... wonder why that is?" Then went and start searching out pics of some of y'alls stag knives and thought mmmm.... I gotta get me one of those!!

So I email Buck up and Pete Mason I think is his name, changed my custom order after it had been at the shop for a couple of weeks already. WOW. How cool was that for them to do? BUck so did not have to do that. So my new knife is BG-42 Blade, Brass Bolsters, STAG Handle, and no rivets. I will try and post some pics when I get it. Course it is going to G2 for a sheath right a way. I carry my AG 110 as my EDC (it is in a sheath by Vess Leather, thought I try Gary) and this is going to be my dress knife.Which will probably be carried more than the Ag and the Ag will probably become my huntin' knife. Anyhoo.... Realized I been hangin' round and not postin', which is kinda rude and wierd. Sorry. So here I am, tell me, who here is a fan of STAG?:D

Mark me down as envious.

Sorry for being a dummy, but who is Gary the sheathmaker? Maybe I'll grab a custom sheath when I get a custom 110 someday.

right on

Gary Graley is his name, goes by G2. Here is a link to his site, you can also search out some pics of his stuff in the forum.

I am looking forward to the sheath, also check out Vadim Grynko of Vess Leatherworks

That is my current sheath, and just thought I would try Gary this time, but I love my sheath Vadim made me. I love my buck knives, but not my buck sheaths. Hopefully do not mean to step on toes. Just personal preference.

Durbin, both of those makers look first rate.

Here is what I may choose as a custom 110. This one belongs to BF member "Allen", but I don't remember his screenname - pipe in there Allen if this is yours. The stag and the buffalo are competing for my attention:

Nickel with buffalo.

Powernoodle,

I Had the exact same knife couple of years ago. It got stolen, or misplaced maybe during one of my moves. Probably the latter. One day I went to look for it, and it was gone.:( Ah well. Either option is both a beautiful ,and well suited for use.

Yeah, PN

That's the knife I've always spec-ed out for a custome. It's just classy looking.

Allen, that is a very nice custom 110. It's the exact knife i would order from the custom shop if (when) I order one.

Man, now I have to have a stag 110 and a water buffalo 110.

Fiends!!

Durbin...
You will get a Koa too. I see it in my crystal balls.
I went the opposite...got the BG-42 Koa first and then the Stag.

Ask me about my grandkids:

Five-O Mike has a beautiful 110 BG-42 Brass No-Pin Koa that is around here somewhere.
Durbin...post pics ASAP :)

AllenC and PowerNoodle...great looking knives! Clean scales (mine are a bit milky).

.

Thanks for the pics goose! Great looking elk stag! I am still waiting on mine, not sure when it will be done, maybe next week. getting pretty excited though!

rhino, you could always opt for the Cabela's AG stag with a BOS SV 30 blade. it's a limited edition and it comes with the Darth Vader approved black goop on the blade.

Indeed I could and it's something that has been tickling my "I want it!" part of my brain for a while now. It's just that all of my "discretionary funds" go toward ammo right now (at ridiculously high prices, I might add!).

Someday . . . the stag is just too cool to not have one. I have a 1980s vintage American Eagle/Parker Cutlery 110 clone with stag scales that is really nice, but it's not a BUCK!
