OK, I succumbed. I saw all the great looking 110s in another thread and just had to have another one. Here it is (excuse the lousy pictures). It's got a S30v blade (with Bos heat treat, of course) and ironwood scales. Even my wife, who isn't normally into these things, remarked that this knife was "beautiful." I think that's a compliment. ;)

You musta had lotsa them CabelaBucks stored up on your account!!!!

I gotta check and see how many I got.

;)

Of course........one CAN get a 110 from the Custom Shoppe with S30V, Nickel Bolsters, KOA Flamewood scales for $126.50.

And free shipping.

And no sales tax.

How much did you pay?

;)

Smiley or no smiley, that's really kind of a butt-hole thing to say. The guy just got a brand new knife and put it up here for us to enjoy. (BTW, it is gorgeous!) Why don't you keep your opinions about what he "could have bought" to yourself?

I didn't say he SHOULD have bought it.

But he COULD have.

Maybe his choice was better. Who knows?

I'm no expert, I just happened to search the Custom Shop options recently and noticed that the price beat Cabela's Ironwood option.

I'm sure he can make his own decisions, and posting opinions and information is what this place is all about.......so I thought.

So it goes. Sorry if anybody was hurt.

Nice looking AG 110 there Mark J. You should like the S30V blade preety well. Just be carefull that you don't get too hooked on the Buck or else your wife might get mad! HL

Handsome knife Mark J . A Buck buddy encouraged me to get one when the rosewood models first came out and I'm glad I did . DM

Thanks everyone for the kinds words. Yeah, I'm looking forward to using this one. Dave, this makes it only the second 110 I have, so I gotta keep buying. :p

As far as price goes, my parents always taught me that it was rude to ask a stranger how much something costs. I am quite familiar with Buck's Custom Shoppe. Suffice it to say, the tipping point for me was the stash of Cabela Points I had saved up, which made it ridiculously cheap.

Great looking knife Mark, I've been considering one even though I already have several AG 110's.
As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing from the custom shop at that price point that I'd rather have. JMO

Ditto except I'd like mine in nickel silver. I've wondered about the lack of Ironwood as an option in the Custom shop.

Ah yes......those darn CabelaBucks.

When I got my AG (the $70 version, not the $130 version) a few years back, I had sixty-some dollars in points, so I spent less than $10 in actual cash to get it.

That's still one of the best S30V deals around, even if you have to pay for it in real money.

CabelaBucks are the best, though.

That's the way to do it. Money for nothing and knives for free.

Mark, What did you think of the AG sheath that came w/ the knife and the emblem tooled in it ? DM
