  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I bought a 119 for an elk hunt back in 89, and was able to feild dress, skin and quarter a 5 point bull that i killed. When I finished the knife was still sharp, and my friend who was impressed was able to convince me to sell it to him. I have regretted it ever since. Well today I finally bought another 119 to go along with my ag110 which I really like alot. I can't wait to see if it holds an edge as good as my first one. I have a bunch of more expensive knives, but something keeps drawing me back to the old tried and true 119.
I am still convinced that the more bang for the buck you just can't beat the 119.

If you like the S30V of your AG110, keep an eye out for an 819SS in S30V.

They are a little hard to come by as they were a Limited edition run of 1,000 in Bucks Signature Series.

I used a matching 805SS back in late Nov to work up a couple of whitetail. It and the AG110 are the best I have used so far

Sorry I didn't get the butt end of the 819,,,but it is basically like the end of the 805.

I bought a 119 last September at a local sports chain. I finally used it in the kitchen to cut up a 3.5 lb bottom round roast into 3/8" cubes to marinate & cook for homebrew chile, along with some onions, green peepers, and jalepenos - I now have a new kitchen knife! The best <$40, inc s/t, I've spent on a 'kitchen' knife - ever! I later bought a 119BR - to look at.

If you like the S30V steel on the AG110 - consider the AG192 Vanguard - $90 from Cabelas - unless you are an NRA member - their coupon garnered me one for $60 (#2K-51-6493), but it's a bargain at a much higher price than the $90! Almost too pretty to use. Of course, I bought a 'regular' (420HC) 192 to use... great heft/balance. Then there is my new 408 Kalinga Pro - also in S30V. Good grief this stuff is addictive - and I don't hunt!
