G'day guys, a few months back i was having a whinge to the mrs about how i couldnt find a decent knife around here and how i didnt like the shapes of most etc, i think we ended up looking at a few off the Muela site and said i liked the look of one, anyway she did bloody well to remember and got me one made for my birthday, i saw it on the blokes FB page and hit like thinking thats a nice looking bit of gear and a few days later she tossed it on the bed!

it has been hand forged for from 15n20 steel and is a full tang design with nickel bolsters and red stag antler scales with green liners. The blade is 130mm long and holds a fantastic edge, it is differentially hardened to give the knife a soft back and hard edge. Supplied in a hand stitched leather sheath.

so i was pretty damn stoked with that! i tend to be a bit rough on the gear though and most of what i own isnt there to look pretty but id like to really look after this one, id say it will get a fair workout too, its already started to colour a bit and im wondering if i should be just letting it patina on its own, force a patina on it or try keeping it mirror polished and oiled? thanks for any advice
