I started another thread that was asking for Members that helped you in 2011... The response was HUGE over 100 members were named. Sorry for the confusion by turning that into a Nomination thread. We have a generous group of individuals here. Patrice contacted me as suggested we break it up into categories which I thought was a great Idea.

OK I CHANGED MY MIND AGAIN! I promise to be more decisive and plan better in 2012!

You just have to pick 1 person that made the most difference in your Blade Forums Experience for 2012, you can base it on anything but you just get one Vote!

My choice would be Nick Wheeler, he has been very open with his methods and gone out of his way with videos and WIP's that have helped me improve my skills.

Best Technical help : Kevin Cashen. He hasn't been around much since the first of the year but he left a treasure trove of info if you look for it.:thumbup:

Comic relief: Jeffery P. Naterer AKA Bushmonkey. It was either laugh or shoot myself. I chose laughter. I ALMOST miss him. :jerkit:
But.... Since he's not an active member I vote Superman...superman-returns.jpg AKA Rick Marchand

Most Giving: George(Unky Gumby) For sharing his WIP's, his GIB build was a great help, but all of his well thought out questions and sharing of the progression of his work added a great deal to the forum.:D

Thats not fair, now we have to put thought into it :-)

1. I cant decide between Nick and Tai but I'm leaning toward Nick
2. Whatever happened to bushmonkey anyway?
3 I would have to say you, Ryan, you helped organize a kith or two among other things.

Brian, Stacy is a mod so unfortunately according to the rules can't be voted for.

Damn, ryan.. Ok so for #2... Sam Salvati, he usually has some good stories to tell when he comes on.

Brian I agree with your vote for Kevin Cashen, I have learned a ton through his threads. Hate to say it but your last two votes don't qualify. Mr. Monkey is not an "Active Member" and correct you are about Stacy he falls in the Moderator group!

Keep them coming!

1. Best Technical Help: Nick Wheeler. It is hard between him and Kevin, but He has taken my hand sanding from ruining any grind lines that I might have had to something that only sharpens them.
2. Best Comic Relief: Rick. He has made me laugh my fool head off several times. Then again, he is a mod, so I am not sure if he applies.
3. Most Giving: Spark- He gave us the forum. He also isn't a mod, so he is fine.

OK I fail... It was pointed out that Rick Marchand is also a Mod! so maybe Geek I would say spark is also out of the running....

Maybe this place is held together by some great Mods that keep all us unruly members in check! I will correct my votes!

I honestly don't know why a Mod can't get a vote. I am sure that even if Stacy wasn't a Mod he would still be just as helpful and he usually one of the first if not the first to offer help to someone. But the rules are the rules so....

1/ Nick Wheeler with his vids and tips, and all those tools he makes that get me thinking

2/ Its a toss up between Tai and Rick, and when you get the two of them bantering back and forth in the same thread it is hilarious. The coin toss picked Rick Marchand, it must have been a Candian coin:eek:

3/ Brian Ayres easily, it helps that he gave me all the pipes and valves to build the burner for my forge:D Now I just have to get off my butt and put the darn thing together. Hopefully before the end of the month I will have it done now that the vet bills are taken care of and Christmas has passed

Fixed for the new rules, but the others are still worth mentioning:thumbup:

Unky you are right... things before were too complicated so I changed things up. No rules you can choose any Member of Bladeforums in 2011 (Just 1 Person) sorry for the confusion!

My vote is still for Nick Wheeler..... maybe if Stacy shaved his legs I would pick him... or Kevin Cashen.... yeah, if Kevin Cashen shaved Stacy's legs.... wait.... this is not the canola thread is it?

It would have to be Stacy, though Ricky-dawg takes a close second. especially with those shaved and canolaed legs. ;)

For 2011 and only 1 person, I have to go with Nick as a stand out for this year.

Several monster WIP's, a shop tour, and videos like that hand sanding one.

Plus he's knocking them out hand over fist- and they are all pretty fantastic.
It seems he found the right drugs, or Angie is beating him properly - he's got momentum.

I still want to snoop through all his drawers.

Nick, hands down! Very helpful and with those sanding videos he put out, it's a no brainer.

My vote is for Stacy. His ability to step in and help in every given situation with very percise details is amazing. I don't think there's anything he doesn't know. I like Nick's work and his tutorials are amazing but Stacy has helped me the most hands down.
Jason

Well..... If you have to vote for just one person, it is a slightly different decision for me. I'd change my single vote to Nick Wheeler with Stacy and Kevin close behind.
Besides his help in Shoptalk, in Custom and Handmade Nick is a great ambassador for the Art with the collectors.
I have a friend who's an accomplished magician, if he shared as many of his trade secrets as Nick he'd be killed by angry magicians.

So my votes is now Nick Wheeler.

Well, hell, now I don't know. Stacy was my first vote before all the rules, so I guess he is still my vote, for all the stuff he sends newbies, all the tips he gives and hassle he puts up with. I still want to know what happened to bushmonkey though, I didnt even know he wasnt on anymore, I tended to avoid his posts after the first couple hehe.
