What do you think of it?

It looks good, wouldn't mind having one but isn't it a bit small for what it's trying to accomplish?

The Kabar Kukri machete is great for what it is. I'm eager to handle one of the new ones. Love that handle!

Interesting take. At over 8 inches long I see it as a military version of the Kabar's TDI fixed blade, in between the TDI and their Kukri machete.

Looks like it's a little too small / short to be a "fighting kuhkri". But I'd still like to handle one before passing judgement. Also, if it's made with 1/4" stock it shouldn't be. Just makes it slower in hand = not a + for a fighting knife.

Not sure why you think 8 inches is too short for a fighting knife. the M3 fighting knife is less than 7 inches. The Fairbairn Sykes is 7 inches. This Kabar is longer than most fighting knives.

Yes that is true but look at the knives you mentioned and the design they have, They are more for stabbing.I don't know how well a 8inch blade would chop especially in comparison to something several inches longer like most choppers.

Length isn't everything, it's how you use it :D

Seriously though. A kitchen cleaver is generally only around 4". Length matters only to a certain point for chopping, in my experience. Blade and edge geometry and chopping technique strike me as being much more important. Toooj does good work. I'd be surprised if this wasn't a decent blade.
