Anyone have one of the new redesigned Alpha Crosslocks?
Are these assisted opening? I think I would be interested in one without the AO. From what I can tell from internet pics, the new redesigned ones aren't AO, but I guess some in the recent past were?
The new ones shown on the Buck website only show blackish green ones and they don't show any orange.
On net sites where I would order, I see the orange.
I would want the newer version so maybe I better wait until later on to order one to make sure of what I get. Anyone handled this new version?

I have a new one somewhere but sadly I cannot find it. Can't even remember which color I have, too many knives. To my knowledge, no CrossLocks were ever assisted opening. Currently available in 2 colors. Here it is in the 2014 catalog.

Thanks, I didn't see that of what you posted, very helpful.
I'm kind of keeping my eye out so maybe I can handle one in person.
 
The new ones are easy to identify because of the cross hatched aluminum handles. The Boone & Crockett orange handled one from several years ago had rubberized handles.
