Hi everybody. I was just wondering if any of you all had ordered one of the new Bucklite 422's that Buck is selling off there web site as web specials. Are they as well made as the original ones and what's the sheath like. Also just out of curiosity would you rather have one of the new 422's or one of the paperstone 112's?
I am looking at a new edc and these are two that I am considering as well as a yellow 301. Thanks for any thoughts that you might have.

I have a couple, worth every penny. Too bad you can't get the orange any more but the black is just as good for the price. Don't have a paperstone one so I can't comment on that.

I've got both...either will perform admirably. Paperstone version is a tiny bit heavier than the 422, and has partial steel liners...it is an incredibly strong material.
The yellow 301 is a great EDC choice also...I gifted one to a friend about 6 months back and have just recently sharpened it back up for him...he's a non knife nut ;)
3 choices of blades and comfortable carry...what's not to love about that

forgot...Nylon sheath which can be vertical or horizontal carry...they are tough as nails, and can go right through the wash cycle if needed...

I love my 422s... I use one all the time... Bought my first one 25 years ago or so... I still use it today... It's a 422OD... I don't have a Paperstone 112 so I don't know much about it... But if Buck makes it, It's got to be a great knife too... ITE

Thanks for the replies guys. ItsTooEarly that 422od in the first picture is just like the one I had as a boy and I sure wish I had another one. I have a orange one but can't seem to get very excited about it. I haven't made up my mind yet but I am still thinking about it.
