New 8" recurved damasteel blade

Just came out of etching with a slight 1500 grain sanding to show the pattern.
Allthough I am not sure I want to polish it, might remove some of the contrasts.
Very happy with how it came out.

Will hopefully have the knife done in time for the Scandinavian guild show

I am in the process of choosing handle material now.
There will hopefully be a small damasteel detail in the handle as well.

This blade is made from a sketch that I designed four or five years ago.
I am happy to finally be able to make a blade of it.

As far as the polishing; I say don't do anything that might remove any part of that awesome pattern. That's one great looking blade! :thumbup:
