The 880T I bought just arrived today. I couldn't imagine it would be so massive. I got it to replace the Emerson CQC7 I'd been carting around for a few years. Nothing wrong with the Emerson, I just wanted a new "folding prybar-hacker-digger". After giving it a little scotch-brite polish, edge touch-up, and a few deep admiring looks, I wondered why I hadn't bought one until now. One minor issue, I've got a little bit of vertical play in the balde. Question is, will the lock "work in" to correct it, or should I just accept it. Also, when the blade pivot is adjusted so that the knife can be opened with one hand, it contacts the liners. Suggestions?

There shouldn't be any vertical play, unless you are applying enough pressure to bend the liner. The liner issue I would have to see. Send it in and we will tune it up for you. Feel free to contact me if you want to track its progress through our service department.

Thanks,

Josh

I worked it open and closed a few hundred times and it seems to have self-corrected- maybe a little high spot on the lock. There was a tiny spur on the blade that needed to tool the washer-- now it works great.
