New A1 arrived...:)

My new Fallkniven A1 arrived today along with a 12" Ontario machete (thanks KnifeCenter for such quick service!).

I glanced at the machete, slipped it in its sheath and then picked up the A1. All I can say is...this is nice! Tremendous bang for the buck. VG-10 steel, 60 HRC. Beautiful blade geometry. I used it to delicately cut an article out of the evening paper. It cut like the razor that it is. I forsee fun in the woods ahead.

My new A1 arrived yesterday, and I second all of the above. What a great piece of work this is; it's just begging me to beat on it. I don't know if I believe knives or other inanimate objects can have souls, but I know my computer gets better when it knows I'm mad enough to beat the living crap out of it, and I believe this knife is just aching to go to work. I own a number of the best 'blade-du-jours,' and the A1 is the first one which screamed at me to work it hard.

You might also enjoy the S-1, F-1, and the WM from Falkniven. Each has different uses from the A-1 but all have the same great quality.
