Today I received custom traditional folding knife I've been waiting on. This one is one I've had on order for a few months now and as usual when it rains it pours; as I had to bite off the purchase of two expensive knives in the same month but gritting my teeth some I managed to pull it off.

I can say without reservation that to date this is the nicest custom folder I've bought from anyone no matter the maker or type of folder purchased. Absolutely flawless!

2.5 ounces of pocket joy here but I so far have not been able to bring myself to carry it. I asked Ken to give me a 'bump' more kick on the blade with this one so I could cheat my index finger up on the handle when using it and only by just a bit and he pulled it off wonderfully. On most knives I'd call this the choil area but not really being a choil I do find when whittling or doing other tip work that I like to cheat up on my handles. I did this for my Marbles EO Tear Drop Jack in Buffalo Horn for many years. This area is the only one I've always not cared for on my green linen model from Ken shown here which as you can see from the pictures has obviously been carried and used.

Anyway, this is another fine ATS34 blade model slip joint from Ken Coats' shop. My third one from Ken to date with another on order for later a few months down the road. Next one is a Saddlehorn. Ken is a joy to work with folks. The quality is quite high too as you can plainly see. This one was made to order after seeing one posted here I was kicking myself over missing that sold some months back. Soon as I saw it I was contacting Ken to see about another one for myself. It measures according to my ruler 3.75" closed. Rc-62 cryo, cut swedges, half stop, flush all three positions, pulls about 5+. Everything is spot on the money too but no big surprise there.

Thanks for looking and thank you Ken for another home run knocked right out of the park!

That's a nice knife...I have nearly the exact knife on order from Ken as well....love those easy opens.

Very nice! You could say it is da' bomb! Sorry.

Besides the extremely nice jigging, I am realizing I really like the spear point blades like those. A lot!

Great looking knife, I am a fan of slippies with choil-like areas since I like cheating up the handle too.

Congrats on an exquisite new easy open! I can't get enough of that pattern..

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. It sure is a beauty!
