This is a neat little knife, definitely english. Found references to Wilson and Frith in 1852 as making shoe, palette, etc i.e. working knives in Sheffield. Then I found a reference to Arthur Frith, knifemaker, 1912.

Has good snap , but blade wobble on main blade.

Can blade wobble be fixed or should I leave it alone. Of course if I was as old as this knife I would have some wobble, too.

That knife is fantastic!!! You can fix blade wobble depending if it's a pin issue or not versus wear over the years due to daily use. If it's the pin many times it can be peened or squeezed in a padded vise then peened and then the bolsters polished out.

If the wobble isn't severe and it doesn't bother you certainly leave it or if it is severe consider the option above---regardless that is a great vintage knife!!!

100% agreed! You first should look about that blade wobble - hold the knife (opened) against light to see if there are gaps or some space, seing the pivot pin. That might be the origin of the blade wobble (as long as it is a side-to-side play). I wouldn´t mess around with that old beauty. Here are some others, that are more talented than I am. There you might find help if it is not a side-by-side play. :)
