new acquisitions

They all look like bargains to me. The 5OT is especially nice. The other two look to be in nice shape and real nice prices.

your 8OT might be a post 2004 "off shore" model. it's a very deceptive listing. the initial upper pic. is a valid Schrade USA 8OT, but the big pic. lower down is a Chinese one. so which did you win ? roland

Hmmm. It looks like the Chinese one is a cut and paste. We'll cross our fingers for the top one. It looks more like a current photo.

I thought the same as Roland when I first saw the ad, but I agree with thawk on the 8OT. The big picture shows a Taylor knife, but appears to be a c&p from an add or website. The other shot looks to be a decent pic, and is a USA Schrade. Keeping my fingers for you. Looks like a decent night!

The add said USA I would get ahold of the seller and tell him to send send a USA knife.

i received the marlin and the 60T. the 60T is in excellant shape with the marlin being in good shape except for the etching. now all i have to do is figure out how to safely remove it.

the 80T came in and it is indeed a USA knife. glad he was truthful. it is in very good shape also. the blades have few scratches and looks to have not been sharpened much which is both good and bad i guess.

the H-15 came in also and it is in good shape too. the handle has no apparent flaws and the blade is good abeit dull. now to get out the ole wetstone and go to town sharpening. i hate dull knives.

i have 2 H-15s that looked o.k. in pics, but as i tried to clean them, some of the leather handle washers came off, disintegrating into bits of dried out leather. however i don't like the light weight, wimpy fell of this model.
i think you did very well on all of your new knives. roland
