New Addition. A.G. Russell lockback gunstock

Just got it in today. Feels great, scary sharp, well see how it holds up this deer season.

I have several of AGR's knives, I recently got the 2013 Texas Ranger commemorative. I'm sure that that gunstock will be up to any rough stuff you can put it up against. The fit and finish of his knives is great. Enjoy deer season!

Which scales did you get? I'm sorta partial to Rucarta on my Russell folders.

I got the yellow delrin. Makes it easier to find if dropped in the woods. I also ordered the lockback Barlow in yellow.

I'm partial to the yellow. I have one of the barlows in yellow, the Zulu spear is a great shape for EDC. One of the features that impressed me on most of his knives is the bar that keeps the blade from striking the backspring. I also have a curved regular jack in amber bone. The fit and finish on that one is nigh to perfect. As you can probably tell I'm a AG Russell fan.

Is the yellow brighter in person than it looks in the pics? If so, I may go with it on my next Russell folder.

That is a nice looking knife. I just might have to consider it in cocobolo. I don't own any AG Russell knives, but this would make a great first. Now on my wish list for next year. The Holidays have, unfortunately, depleted my "fun funds".
