Recently, I decided to break down and finally get a "Darrel Ralph." Knife that is..... Unsure of what I wanted! Real toss up between the Apogee or Krait. What to do, what to do...........

Then, one day, I was surfin' the Forums and saw a Carbon Fiber EDC. And not a fancy one either! Fighter style blade and plain ole carbon fiber scales ~ ya know.....like the one sitting on the fence post!

Ordered it several months ago and it arrived today!

Overall Length is 8". Totes a blade length of 3.5". Elected to have the 420V Stainless Steel blade and black carbon fiber scales. Had to have the "Fighter" style blade. Absolutely fantastic job in the finish on the blade too. Move the knife around in light and the blade comes alive! Came with dual thumbstuds and heavy duty .075 liners. The knife is accented with heat colored (bronze) liners, screws, thumbstuds and clip. Awesome carbon fiber work! Extremely smooth and looks like snake scales!

And gotz to have pic's (scans actually):

Gig One: Great knife. I have the one shown on the fencepost. You indicate it has an intregal lock. Are you sure? It looks like the same liner lock I have.

Bladelaw,

You're correct. See what happens when you have too many knife things going on at the same time!

Wow! Goes without saying that Darrel has done it again. Is this your first DDR knife, Jeff? Hehehehehe. It won't be your last.

Sh*t!!!! Now you guys have done it. Absolutely love my EDC Dominator and have just been toying with the idea of getting another one, but couldn't really justify owning two knives so similar. Now I see this beauty and Darrel JUST has to chime in that he is offering a smaller version as well. Carbon fiber combined with a smaller Fighter style blade are really two more reasons than I needed. The go-for-its just outweighed the forget-its

! Great knife.

Yup, Jeff. Addiction to Darrel's knives is like the Energizer bunny. It just keeps going and going...

GigOne,

I am glad that you are enjoying your new CF EDC. That knife is a great one. I enjoyed watching Darrel put the finishing touches on that particular EDC very much. A lot of times in this business a knife turns out so well that you have a hard time shipping it out to your customer - you would like to keep it yourself! This was definitely one of those knives. Makes it all worthwhile when the customer likes the knife as much as you did though
