New addition to an old concept

Let me preface this by saying that I'm not a talented leather worker...Well that's out of the way...A little bit ago I made some pocket slips for some of my slippies I liked them alot but found that they fell out of place in my pocket and ended up laying sideways and such..Today while rifling through some of my gear I found an old pouch with a metal pocket/belt clip attatched I cut off the webbing and epoxied it to a slip pouch, and wham, now I have a pocket clip slip case which is disgustingly ugly but provides me with instant access to my slipjoint knife, and keeps it out of the debris deep in my pocket..I don't know if anyone else came up with this idea and surely anyone is welcome to it, I know I haven't seen one, but I'd like to get some prettier ones so if anyone knows where these are marketed please feel free to share the info..If not I might contact Jre industries and see if they can help me out...Thanks for listening.. P.S. Thanks to my clumsiness and much to my wifes amusement it seems I've temporarily epoxied my weeding ring on. HMMM

I am thinking this must be a joke post as they have been putting pocket clips on knives for decades now, including slipjoint knives. Instead of gluing the clip onto your knife why not stitch it onto your pouch?

Thanks for the kind words....And for the news flash about pocket clips on knives...I've never seen one on a slip case however (Although I am new to the trad knife loop)..and as this is an experiment, I Didn't want to put the effort in to stitching through the thick webbing before I saw how it turned out...and as I mentioned I'm not a talented leather worker or craftsman, or artist, just a guy with an idea I liked and thought I'd share.
P.S. after rereading you post it seems you misunderstood and thought I glued a clip to my knife...I attatched it to the slip pouch..Not the knife! Sorry for the sarcasm, I've edited my original post to help avoid confusion for others.

I figured someone must have thought of it. I just couldn't find 1 online..Thanks for the info I'll start looking there.

cool Links guys thanks... I might try to make some better ones if they turn out well I'll post some pics.

The new Benchmade Shoki (which is in most ways a WH clone anyhow) also has a pocket-clipped slipcase.

Not a bad idea, sorry to say as others have it's not a new one. William Henry is one of the companies that's been doing it for a while.

Couldn't be that hard to make a nice one, if you're willing to invest the time and learn a little bit of leather working. Just thinking about it quickly, all you'd need are some simple clip sized pieces of metal that you bend into a J, and three small pieces of leather; two for the actual case, and one to "lock" the clip into a hole you punch in one side of the case.

I'd be willing to bet you could make a few of these, with $20 in supplies, in an evening or two. Until then, your ugly one is perfectly fine, if you're happy with it. That's all that really matters in the end. I had a friend, an older guy, who bought a beater looking Ferrari that had a near mint drivetrain. He slapped a little paint on the car, not even bothering to fix most of the dents (don't ask me how a Ferrari becomes a beater but has a perfect engine, I have no idea) and threw some blankets over the horribly abused seats. He drove that thing all the time, happy as a clam.
