I really like my Balance and my Pacific. Now I have another one to rotate with my balance that is office friendly. Like others who have mentioned before, this is a really nice knife with great fit and finish. I ant wait to carry it at work and cut stuff with it. I had a few come in and it was lust at first sight. I dont even mind not having a pocket clip. I have never used the one on the balance and this one is about as light as that one, so it will ride in my shirt pocket. Spyderco makes a heck of a great knife!

When you look at the Balance, it looks like a newborn Tuff, before it grows into the beast that is really is. ;)

Lol now every time I look at the Balance I'm going to be like "Awwwe, look at the little baby Tuff!".

Awesome Air you have, I'm wanting one of those. How do you like it?

I just got some in yesterday and its going with me to the office. Maybe open some boxes and trim the excess paper of shipping labels. I am a big fan of wharnie style knives. I gave my dad a wharnie about the same size as this one that I had an opportunity to make in Don Robinson's shop. My dad loves it. So did I. This one is very nice and very light.

I still like carrying the salt always, It is hot and humid here in Deep South Texas. Sweat is prevalent. I love that it doesnt rust. The balance had a good cleaning after I was working in the yard and notice a few spots of surface rust. You can just say the word rust around here and it starts to form.

Used it to slice up some cardboard. Hot knife through butter.

Looks great. IMO on a modern gents knife like that a pocket clip wouldn't be a necessity by any stretch. I like it's blade profile. I've found the Warnies to be a bit easier to sharpen freehand.

Same here. I can no longer see the balance as anything besides a baby Tuff.

I had been looking at the Air for a while now, this just makes me want it even more now. The list grows ever longer....

This thread was about the Air but the Balance is awesome as well. The Air will be with me at Church and Sunday Lunch thats for sure.
At the office I open up the Balance and pick at my nails and leave it open next to the laptop and when folks stop by the cubicle they glance at it and forget about it. If they were to see a Tuff, or serrated hawkbill they would probably freak. The Air will more than likely get more compliments on what a nice knife it is.

Glad I could unintentionally sidetrack things. :p
I'm getting the Air on Saturday, provided our USPS folks come through as usual. Seeing that cardboard slashed to ribbons reminded me of when I first picked up the Gayle Bradley.

The GB is another one that I would like to have. I handled one and it is definitely a knife to have.
