New addition to the family!

I picked up an English Bulldog this morning from my brother in law. He didn't have the time to take him with his new job and knew I'd been wanting one forever. Here is "Goober" w/ my 5yo daughter Kinzy. It's only been a few hours and this two are already inseperable.:thumbup:

Now you two are going to fight over the food bowl and who get's to sleep on the bed...don't say no one warned ya...:D:D
 
Well done Marty, what a pair. Really cute daughter and a pretty rugged looking dog.

One thing you can be sure of with a dog like that, no sane scumbag is going to be bothering her, I would not like to have that dog latched onto my throat!

What more could a bloke want?

How safe are bulldogs? do they have the same temperament as pitbulls?
I do not want to display my ignorance of dogs more than that.

As a long time breeder/owner of pit bulls I can say that this dog is more laid back than any of my pits. The bulldog is a clown- loves attention and great with kids. This one doesn't much care for other male dogs, but that's to be expected in alpha dogs.
 
...Nice-looking dog, but as far as the girl goes, she's a cutie...Are you SURE she came from you?.:D.:D.
 
Now that's a pair for ya. Very cute little daughter.

The dog has your eyes and nose though. :D
 
How old is "Goober"?

I seem to remember the last English Bull I played with as being quite husky through the midsection (for a dog that size, anyway).
 
He's four and a half. He could stand to gain 5 pounds or so. The wife is already spoiling him so it shouldn't take long.
 
Congrats on the handsome English Bulldog!! He is cute, and your daughter is soooooo adorable!!

m1m - great pooch! Great name for him too - "Goober" is my nickname here for when I mess something up.

What a great looking bulldog. They always look so fierce but I've never run across one yet that wasn't a real sweetheart. I'd own an English Bulldog myself if they weren't so outrageously expensive.
