I've been lurking around here for a while, asking questions, and learning as much as I can about Rick Hinderer Knives. Decided the time was right to purchase an XM-18 and did so last week. It arrived over the weekend. I am very impressed at how quickly it arrived. Thank you Rob and gang for the quick service and for making the ordering proccess so easy.

Only one problem now; keeping my wife away from it.

So here is a quick shot between rain showers.

Very Nice knife. Rick makes some great pieces of equipment for sure. The XM begs to get the hell used out of it!
 
My buddy just ordered his first Hinderer too. It was also a XM-18 w/ green/black scales. He's really excited about it. They're great knives. Very user-friendly. Congrats! Great score!
 
Congrats on the fine knife brother. They are a thing of beauty aren't they? I'm a Hinderer Newbie myself but I'm already hooked. . . :thumbup:
 
I have that same color scale, it is nice and yours looks fantastic.

Enjoy the knife.
 
Great looking knife! i cant wait until my number gets drawn so i can be the proud owner of one as well....sigh...ive waited so long...

ive considered trying to work for my local fire dept. just so i can get one of these knives.

That sounds like a win, win. Your town gets a needed resource and you get something you need too. Do it, (pause), do it.
 
Thanks for all the comments guys. Sorry I haven't gotten back to everyone sooner. I've been eyeball deep in the medical books all week.

I've been enjoying carrying it but unfortunately I haven't had a chance to use it much.

I hear you seven1niner but one is all I can afford at this point. I did let her borrow it yesterday at least.

When I get a break from school which should be in late Mach I'll have to set up my lights and get a better picture. I really like the black and green. Now I need a 3' version and some 1911 grips in this color.
 
Beautiful Knife bro, I am ordering mine next week I hope it arrives quickly like yours did. I think I might go with the flat desert earth G10 scales.
 
I like the 1911 grip idea. I have been looking at his knifes this week too and thought one would look sweet next to my trp. Guess I better start saving. Nice knife thanks for the pics.
