Well I had to put down my avitar the end of November.:( He had been in and out of the UofM vet hospital for the past 9 months and was finally diagnosed with brain cancer.

My ladies took it pretty hard and we all went to Grandma and Grandpas for the day to take our minds off the loss.

Long story shortened G&G have had a few families of cats living in their wood pile and my ladies have wanted a cat for some time, so now we have two cats.

First up is my oldest with Boots, he has been drug around by her since being a little kitten, last April. And puts up with it all, heck Boots sat on her lap for a two hour car ride home and all you heard was PUURRR.

Next is Mittens, all of 8 weeks old with the happiest little girl you ever saw.

Now to convince this that their not chew toys, I'm thinking it will take some time.

sorry to hear of your loss, looks like you have a nice bunch of kids and animals to keep you busy

.

I'm also sorry to hear of your loss Helle.

Just give those cats some time, the pooch will respect them once they show it who's boss;)

Sorry for your loss as well. Adorable little ladies you got there along with some cute canine and feline family.

Helle--Sorry for your loss, but joyful for the additions and two beautiful little girls!! :D Hang in there!

A girl needs a knife...

Very sorry for your loss. :(

Your new pets seem very happy to part of your family. Even though Boots refuses to smile in that picture.

My experience is that cats have a way of convincing dogs that they are not chew toys, and it usually involves sharp claws and a bloody snout.

Thanks for the kind words folks.

Skunk, they are a full time gig, no doubt about it.

jgkelly, that's a great pic. I can only hope at this point to post one like that someday.

Strabs and hlee, I hope that's the case for the dogs and my sake.

Boots is spectacular! And the kids aren’t bad either;)

I love dogs too but I just don't have the time it would take to be fair about getting a dog enough exercise.:grumpy:

Honestly Tony, a guy with your skill should be able to own a dog!:D

Sorry to hear of the passing of a good and loyal friend. My Golden Retriever passed on a few years ago and there is just no way to "replace" him. I've just done without but someday the sparkle in a pup's eye and the wag of their tail will get me and I'll have another friend.

Sorry to here about you loss. My 12 year old animal crazy daughter has had three dogs die or come up missing. We took in a stray cat a few years ago and she is very happy with it... she still wants another Dog though.

You have beautifull children.
