Hello everyone, I am "new" again, I was on here years ago and for some reason kind of drifted away but have always been a fan of knives and this web site. I was on here when I bought a Busse Steel Heart from Andy Prisco. Things happen and time kind of gets hold of you and steers you in different directions but now I am back. There was a guy on here by the name of John Hollister, is he still around?

Welcome back! I don't know John Hollister but you might try to search for him or go to the subforum where you knew him.
What knives are you most interested in?

Well welcome back!

I just checked John hasn't had any activity sense 2003 from what I can see...

Thanks, I bought an Ed Fowler Long Yearling and love that knife. Everyday carry is a CRKT Hissatsu 2 and an Emerson Commander 1999 Commander when I am in uniform. The 99 Commander is the thick scaled 98 model just before they changed it over to the thin scaled model. I emailed Emerson just to see if they made the 99 with thick scales and they told me that they had made some before the change. I love that knife.

mostly interested in tactical folders and nice hunting knives. I use my Ed Fowler every year for deer and have dressed 13 deer and break the pelvic bone and the only thing I have done is wash it and touch it up on a kitchen steel. Sharp as ever and tough as hell. I just ordered a Randall Model 1 fighter with the 6 inch blade and leather stacked handle, shipping in July of 2017. LOL. paid the 50 bucks and owe $315 when it is ready. Can't wait!!!

Thanks Ed, that thing is tough as nails and so sharp. I use it every year, and cleaned the last deer my dad ever shot, have photos of the knife on the deer. I will never sell that knife! Like I said I just touch it up on a kitchen steel every time I clean a deer and scrape a little mark on the back of the sheath.
