I know aluminum scales aren't eveyone's favorite here. But I like them. A lot.

Here's a new set I picked up in May and finally got around to installing today. I also used their titanium screw set too.

What do you think?

I don't think I can mention where I got them. Since he is probably not a sponsor.

They were easy to install.

I don't think I'm going to use a pocket clip on this one. It's so thin and light. It disappears on your pocket. I think a clip would make it unnecessarily bulky.

Here's a shot of the backspacer.

They look good enough, question is now they hold up. I think I've seen those for sale on a certain site and they peaked my interest. But, I couldn't find out enough about them to buy one.

Put them through there paces and tells us how they do.

I like those! I'm a big fan of AWT's scales but they tend to be a little blocky.

I think you can mention the maker, just don't post a link...or please shoot me a message as to where to find them? Thanks!

Yup! You can post the makers name, just no links.
Please post the maker's name brother!!
Knife looks awesome!! How does it feel in hand??

I think I know what you're getting at. I'm sure they will show wear and maybe even patina (although I don't think it's called patina on aluminum) if you use your knife very much. I'll be honest. I won't do much more than carry it.

One thing I did forget to mention is how much I like the almost finger choil these scales give the mini grip. I'm a choil fan and these scales almost give you one.

Alright I'm going to trust you.

It's MV Manufacturing. You can find him on Instagram mvmfg or on the very large auction site.

They feel marvelous in the hand. Very light. And as I said earlier, you get a finger choil.

I can't say enough about the fit and finish too. The liners nested in the scales perfectly. Top notch quality.

Why do people have a problem with aluminum?

Some have complained metal scales in general will get cold in winter. Metal scales tend to be slippery. Metal scales tarnish. Metal scales scratch easily.

I've read many reasons here why metal in general are not desirable.

I still like 'em.

Here's a Benchmade 720 that I stripped the black coating off of. It's one of my favorites.
