Hello friends! I'm new here on the forum!
First sorry for my bad english:mad: ... I am writing with the help of a translator.
I have two knives BK-2, a smooth matte model and another model with the new blade rough. I wonder if this new model of the BK-2 blade rough is thicker than the old model flat? Was measuring and realized clearly that the new model has thicker blade than the last. Is this normal? It became thicker because of the new paint?
Thank you all!

Are they both Ka-Bar or is one a Camillus?

Guyon both are Ka-Bar and came in identical boxes. The new rugged blade comes with laser engraving and is noticeably thicker.
Both are ka-bar BK-2. Why does the thickness changed?

The new coating is quite a bit thicker than the old, but it wears much better. It will smooth out some with use. Or you can just strip it.

I thought I had bought a BK-2 false ... I'm happier now.
thought the new paint BK-2 (thicker blade) would be tougher than the old.
Anyone know how to say the new blade BK-mm 2 increased?
Thanks Psyop!!

Notice the distinct difference between the old and new BK-2. When I bought the old model "smooth", I thought it was fake. But I think there dont is false models. The new ink is actually thicker.
The new are also heavier?

Cool we love pictures. The smooth one is what we call roll stamped. The newer ones they changed the coating and started using a laser to engrave the logo. That should be the only difference. The brand new ones are supposed to have a sheath more like the BK9 and BK7 but I havent seen those yet. The knife should be the same weight and dimensions as far as I know.

Thanks buddy, I also love seeing photos here on the forum.
Apparently the change in thickness was small .... the rest is certainly all the same.
I'm new in the use of knives ka-bar, but I'm loving the lines mainly BK's ... are addictive! Infeizmente difficult to find here n Brazil.
I'm learning a lot here in the "blade forum".
Good nigth!!
