First is a plum #4 and second is a keen kutter
Any ideas what pattern axe head these are?

Any ideas the maker of this hewing axe?I can't find a marking on it anywhere

South central Kansas? The big question is, how much did they stick you for them? I'm in Emporia and can never find squat (but you'd think Keen Kutters would be easy to find in Wichita) and when I do they want the same money for the wore out axe on a broken handle as the like new axe sitting next to it. I think you'd call the first one a Dayton, not entirely sure. The second a Michigan. The first one is a nice score. Check out the "it followed me home" thread for posting your newly found goodies.

ETA: it followed me home (part 2).

The hewing axe I don't know but it looks like a quality tool that's seen little use.

Yup Wichita. I hit all the antique stores around here and craigslist. I paid a little more than I wanted to on these but had to have em lol. I'm starting to go to the antique flea market they have every month here at the coliseum. I've found some things there really cheap. I usually look for the stuff priced to sell. unless it's something I gotta have.

The first one is definitely a Dayton pattern, and the other sorta looks like a worn out Michigan pattern.
