I bought a NC Tool big face anvil at an estate sale this w.e. It is in new condition, bought new and never used. It's only 70 lbs, but i figure I can add a big chunk of scrap under the base and get it near 150 lbs total and use it till I find something better. Only cost $100. I know it will be better than the RR track I have now.

Thanks guys. The picture is from NC tool web site. I emailed them cause mine does not have the turning cams on the side, thought it might be a knockoff. They replied that it's at least 5yrs old model.
Still working on the shop remodel, so it will be awhile before I can try it out.

Those are pretty popular with farriers. I've seen them hold up to quite a bit of cold shaping horseshoes, so the face ought to stay nice and flat for you.

nice anvil, I've always liked the looks of those.

Do you feel bad about stealing it?? :D

Good deal...Let us know how it works for you. They are made in NC from what NC Tool has told me

Nice find! That will make a nice protable demo anvil too if you don't permanantly attach that base..... Way to go!
