I've always worn gloves when doing heavy chopping. But this weekend my 15" horn AK kept turning in my hand. I don't have that problem with the big WWII. I finally got tired of taking my gloves on and off so just started chopping barehanded. Problem sloved. I should have known. After hundreds of years of use they've got the design pretty much perfected. I learn something new every day.

:D Good stuff. A lot of the blisters guys experience when using khuks, and other hand tools, are caused by sweaty hands. Good idea to carry an old dish towel, etc., to dry hands with occasionally. Ensures a safer grip and cuts down on blisters. A glove on the off hand is useful though, especially if you're cutting up some good old mesquite for the barbecue.

I'll drink to that -- and am, in fact. Heineken No. 2.
