I am proud to announce that Allen Surls has become an apprentice at Fiddleback Forge. In addition, he is now a full time knifemaker at our shop. Allen is the man behind WAS Knives, known on bladeforums as allen456. He is a welcomed and much needed addition to the shop and it is great having him here.

Congrats to all involved! Great to see your business is able to provide opportunities to others, must be a very rewarding feeling. Best of luck!

Andy:

Allen,

I am glad that you are on the team. Andy needs good people that share his high standards in order to grow the business. I am sure that it is a hard days work, but it must be very gratifying to see everyone so enthusiastic to buy the knives each week.

Good luck and stay healthy.

Phil

Glad to see more quality talent joining the team! I cannot wait to see what Allen will bring to the table for the FB team, as well as I am looking forward to how Andy's tutelage will affect Allen's (already amazing) knife making!

Cheers,

Will
