well, to start off my posting frenzy, why not recap with a bunch of recent aquisitions:

well, i started what? 25 years ago? $$$ can buy a lot of what you need, if you can find them. i prefer the long slow hunt with minimal $$$ spent, i love'em but i'm frugal too. okay, a couple i bent over backwards to aquire, but mostly, in dribs and drabs and trades, they come in.

i FINALLY have enough, on purpose of certain models to have pre-used dedicated users. yay. it's always nice to have minty in box, as i decided at one point i should have a premium minty set, but duty is distributed as needed now

Well, you have a big head-start on me. I'm fairly new to Beckers myself. Also, I'm on a laughably small fixed income, so it will take me a lot longer to collect even the basics, but I'm working on it.

well, these things do last forever. nearly lots of time.

i think MOST of us have fixed incomes, right? currently, i'm under-employed, but well, i'm good at saving, selling off parts of my collection i don't want, or trading... living with my means as possible.

Social Security, for me. I do make a few dollars here and there from my business (I'm an illustrator and designer), but the SSA puts a cap on what I can earn. I get by, just not a whole lot left over for goodies.
