Ontario Rat7

No not really both fixed blades about the same blade length , overall length, thickness. The Rat is a little heavier.
I know the reaper is a good chopper for a sub 7" lightweight and overall good carver.
your knives ,you don't have to compare them.
I know I would.

well if i were to compare then i would think i would choose 2 knives with like steel, stainless cant really compete with carbon as far as strength and edge retention i dunno if it would be a fair battle lol

It's all about the heat treat. Buck has done a good job with their 420 hc. You might be surprised. Both knives have the same purpose of design.
Like I said your knives do what you want. I would be beating head to head.

well i did my first round of tests with the rat7 and the buck reaper, i have to say the rat7 won out

Rat7 cut thru the bottles pretty easily

The Buck just dented the bottles and never cut them, i was pretty dissapointed

We are not really "water bottle people" so I did a little clean up after my kids cross country meet & found a few.
I have never tried this before. I think it went OK

almost 4.
Next :)

Yep one swipe with a snap cut.
It's been sharpened a few times I keep about the same factory angle. I think it holds a edge just fine & is easy to touch up.
IMO a fun blade.
