Just received my lg classic micarta seb today in the mail. This is my first MM Classic I've ever owned! I must say that it feels great in the hand. I'm trying to get used to the new blade profile. Is it ok to submerge this knife in water? I don't worry about my regular sebs ( except my LE's and damascus ones). Anyway it's a nice edition to the collection.

What do you mean "new blade profile"? Have they changed this from the "Classic" profile as we know it?

I would also like to know if you can open/operate this knife (classic series) as easy as the modern series.

I was comparing it to the reg seb. The blade profile on the MM classic is different . I'm used to the reg sebs.

Congratulations. The Large Micarta Sebenza is my favorite knife, period.

Don't worry about getting the micarta wet. The only thing about getting the knife wet: make sure it is dried well afterwards to prevent any corrosion, and relube, as water will wash out the lube, making the action slightly rougher. After not being washed for a while, micarta can turn darker than its normal color. Just quickly scrub the micarta inlays with a toothbrush and warm water (soap, if necessary) and they should look brand new, nice and grey.

Congrats on your new addition, sounds nice any pics? Sorry i have not been around i have not been feeling that great as of late. My staph infection has returned and im waiting for treatments on that.
