This is my favorite of the bunch. Great 18.5 inc 14 ounce Kobra by Bura -- he recycled a file and this is the end result. File hatchmarks clearly visible both sides. Quickest khukuri I ever handled. Great effort.

12.5 inch and 10.5 ounce bundle of perfection by Bura. Blade style is Dhankuta with fuller like AK. Beautiful combo bone and horn handle. Perfect joint where the two materials meet. 10/10+ work by Bura and village sarki.

Here's a closeup of the handle.

We generally don't offer the WWII with a Chirwa style handle but Kumar make us one. 16.5" and 25 ounces. Exceeds HI specs. Great dark grained saatisal handle slabs. 10/10 work by Kumar and village sarki.

Bura called this effort "new model". It's 10.5 inches and about 10.5 ounces -- dui chirra blade and chiruwa handle excellently done. Has flat spine rather than V. Again, 10/10 work by both Bura and village sarki.

The guys are doing very good work lately -- maybe they are inspired by prospect of new factory and living quarters in better place.

Take any of the above for $95 delivered to your door. Take all four in the same body for $350.

Dale?

Now let's see if I can get these pix to post.

What Ard said, though it's pretty tempting as it is.

Actually they all look great. A 14 oz, 18 incher is pretty amazing.

That "new model" is a cute lil' bugger. About 14" and that would be a sweet camp knife. Pass along the compliment to Bura. Well done!

is excellent.

I love the "new model." But, that's MY personal taste.

I was too slow.:(
But the appearance of the smaller models, today, is encouraging. Maybe there will be a Round 2...

Bill,

Any chance we could send a request to Bura to make a few more of that "new model" in a "medium" size around 14"-15"...?

That would be excellent!

(the interest is there)

and, Yes...a Round 2 in the works...?!!?

Dan, if you want to start a "sign up" thread go ahead. The only way we can guarantee we'll get it is to prepay. 14 incher will run about $125.

Let's just say that half the fun is seeing "interesting stuff" in the title of the thread.

Turns my wallet into a pocket-sized bunny rabbit...

:D

Here I go outside for 45 min to clean up and to exercise my 18"AK
on an old plastic toddler slide on its way to the garbage bin.
Come back inside and the last of the offers is snapped up.
I was getting excited over that lightweight siru,
and that new model looked better the longer I looked;
then I took a second look at #2 again!
#3's a beauty too, but not my cuppa tea.
Big Sigh......

You know...I've been stuck to my laptop here in my office at school; checking every five minutes for the specials. Ok, I get a phone call that the big wigs at central office want to see the administrators right away. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it...missed it. Oh well, life in the big city, right?

That Kobra reminds me of thew 18th Century Model. I wish there were more 18th Century models around.

I've got to get into another line of work that allows me to surf during the day. By the time I get home and see these deals, they're always all gone. :(

Saves me money though...:D
