Thanks to a forum member I have finally acquired my first Annual. I've been feeling that it was paramount to have at least one of these rare bastards.
The Wenge wood is really different, as it has an extreme raised texture/grain.

I also managed to score a Large NICA Tanto, which honestly isn't my favorite CRK but I feel that the collectability is very high.
Also it's a Regular, and we all love those!
Actually it is starting to grow on me, as I've been newly lusting for the Tanto Umnum recently.

Do you feel that I would destroy the value if I was to remove the (hated) anodizing ( on the Tanto)?

I'm not a collector, so I can't really answer that from a collector's perspective. However, as an enthusiast, if I were searching for a Limited, I'd probably pass on those that were even the least bit modified. I mean, if I were targeting that knife, then I would expect it to fully and accurately represent all the appointments of a factory original.

On the flip side, if removing the anodizing would increase your pleasure of ownership, then that's what’s really most important. I've destroyed the collectability of some products before, solely for the purpose of having exactly what I wanted. No regrets, you only live once, do what makes you the happiest. Should you decide to sell/trade the knife at a later time, then I'm sure the de-anodized appearance will appeal to some other folks too.

But, if I understand you correctly, the tanto is in reality just filling a void for a tanto Zaan. If that’s the case, then I’d preserve the Limited as is and continue the search for a tanto Zaan.

If you want to use your knives instead of just collect, you could always switch the blade of the tanto with a plain Sebenza if you really wanted to.
Then if you decided to sell the tanto later.. switch the blades back and disclose that the handle does have some wear but the blade is unused.
