I got home today from a tiring week, wondering if I was going to have a good weekend. It would seem that the USPS, Amazon, and Nordic knives have all made it culminate into a great start to one anyway.

I received my Randall Model #1-8 today (my first model #1). I also received my Izula II (nice little knife to have a few of), and the crown jewel is the new "Diary of a Wimpy Kid dog day book", so junior went to read, and I get to fondle my new knives for a bit.

The model #1 is notably lighter and more nimble than the model 14 I have been using since I was in the military. I like it a lot, Randall's are the one knife I have decided it's ok to have more than one of for no real practical reason. I am sure more than a few of you understand the inclination.

This coupled with the arrival of my first, actually it is my 7yr old son's, Combat companion a few weeks ago, I think it is shaping up to be a great weekend.

As many will attest, you can never have too many Randalls Sounds like you have a nice collection already started. I too find the model 1 to be a lot lighter than the model 14, unless you have some heavy material for the handle on the model 1.
