In the cantina the other day I posted a photo of an incoming blade. It made it here today and it didn't disappoint, plus it brought a friend.

I dont want to sound like a braggart but I know some of you are going to love to see it.

Just so you all know these came from that big auction site so never stop searching.

The foxy is 22" and weighs... wait for it... 24.30 oz

The pictures dont do the blades polish justice

21.5" Ganga Ram 54.8oz old school scrolled sheath and ganga ram chakmak

These blades are both late 90s early 00 vintage.

very nice ! where have these been? i search the bay constantly !!!! best part is that ganga chakma-- also ganga def lat 90s because of sarki work on sheath, the other is def a couple years later when they quit putting the full designs on the leather sheaths- foxy thinness is insane

what auction site are you guys talking about? And how do you know these are H.I blades when looking on said site?

I constantly just do searches modified by time on "Himalayan imports" " bura" "HI Khukuri" when i cruise internerd-- I have found many collections this way. sometimes on gun forums , people unloading knives for guns , mostly posts on blade and sword forums, with the major auction site which we all use that cannot be named. "custom khukuri " can sometimes get you hits too , I found an uddha sword hidden as " strange knife" once.

Every time I see a foxy folly, it just seems like a leaf blade sword bent forwards. It seems to be a very efficient short sword rather than knife. That shape and thickness, and sheen, just makes it look legendary.

Nice score DB! Love them Foxys! I looked for that Ganga Ram for over a year with no luck before I bought my 20" AK so I know a Bura GR is a rare one! Grats!

The seller had no idea what these were other than they were labeled a Gurkha knife. He thought the writings were Arabic.

I knew just by the photos while browsing what that foxy was... After a while you just develop an eye for these things.

I twice have bought RMJ tomahawks from there for WAY cheap prices from pawn shops that had no idea what those were either. You just always have to be looking.

great find, very lucky-- I am lucky I did not see these or I would have too little cash !( me and dirtbiker have been in a bidding war before and not known it over some bura tarwar and tibetan sword)

That Fox Folly sure is a keeper :)
I just love Bura's works
Congrats :)

Thankfully these both had reasonable (not cheap) buy it now prices and I had some money in the fun fund otherwise these could have gone to some hillbilly so he could harvest his weed crop...

PS I can't believe I gave up on that tarwar... What a beautiful sword that was.

dirtbiker you know you have to do what I do-- and know that at least if I did not get the bura, that it went to a very dedicated and respectful collector ! --- dirtbiker really , you should pat yourself on the back for these, absolute works of art and impossible to find. that bura ganga ram is as magical as the foxy, but I am certain the gangaram is the oldest of the two.

Thank you sir. This is one of the main reasons I love collecting HI blades... the people who are associated with them are the best.

Wow, that foxy looks like an antique, between the thickness and the fullering.
That's very,very funny about the RMJ's...

yeah those rmj axes are ridiculous price-- not as bad as that sayoc winkler, but still-- it is still worth hunting for deals there

Oh wow!! When I first opened the thread, I saw the picture of the Foxy and thought you had posted an antique blade in the wrong forum. That Foxy is Awesome! In the truest sense of the word. Good score on it and the Ganga Ram. The Foxy is a Fighter/light duty blade and the Ganga is a brute of a work horse.

Dirtbiker Dirtbiker
huge difference between these two blade design. The foxy is 22" look thin but actually, it is still more than enough for heavy duty job.
