I been away for a while, but what a way to come back. I should be getting this knife in 10 days or so. This will be my first knife
from Bill McHenry and I can't wait! I have to get a digital camera so when I get it I can post more pictures.
It is 8" overall, with a 3 and 9/16" blade, double hollow ground.
The blade steel is a custom chevron pattern W1 and 203E tool
steel from J.Rados, the bolsters are W1 and 203E random from
Darrel Meier. The liners and spine are 6AL4V titanium with a
pressed steel dovetail over the Axis shaft. The single, sapphire
set gold knob and interior inlay are a M&W 16k special blend.
The interior inlay is a half face that reflects to a full face
when viewed at an angle. The Axis knobs and the thrust
washers [spacers] are phosphor bronze. The scales are magnificent
matched blacklip MOP backed with a fine sheet of aluminum.
Signed and dated by the maker, serial # 280, the 6th custom
handmade Axis Lock of 7, all different all one of a kind.
