just picked up a little project. I have been using a porta-band in a vice technique, saw this little guy for sale and grabbed it. has all its parts, just needs a little TLC. I am planning on converting it to a metal cutter.

Nice, be sure to check out the blade speeds they are typically 80 to 200 fpm, if you are going to fix at one speed I use 120 fpm for most cutting.

I have that exact same saw, plus the 6" lathe to match.

Just wanted to give an update. Sanded down everything, disasembled cleaned lubed. Replaced Tires. Baked on Moly Resin on the tool rest and front panels (to avoid Rust) Attached a 6:1 Gear motor she is now down to 200 fpm. and cuts like crazy!

Well done. The only thing I would have done different is keep the original tag. It would have been the cherry on top.
