Liz just sent this photo of my new elk 110.
Almost forgot, I'm lookin forward to seeing your NS elk you ordered.

So here it is 338375. It'll ship today with the the smooth buff knives I showed in the "Buck is a great company" thread. I'll do a several picture layout of the three when they get here.

I'm very pleased with that textured Elk. I asked Liz to ask the guys in the CS to pick some with a lot of character and they sure did!!

It looks like another exquisite piece from the Custom Shop.:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Wow, I was just looking at the knife again before submitting and just noticed they did a mirror finish on the blade. I'm just blown away with the effort these guys made. What a great looking knife.

Don't get too excited there Gordon. I think when you actually have the knife it hand, you will find that the blade is not mirrow polished; I think it only appears that way in the photo, but we can always hope!!

Well Darrell...I probably have been a little too gushy with enthusiasm but here is the other picture Liz sent. It really does look like it’s a mirror finish. I would take your advice and assume not...except I can see a reflection of the blue chair.

Also, I believe this is an older blade and not a new run from the leftover ATS-34 (note the side stamp). It may be that it was already polished. Guess I’ll find out shortly. g

Yep, I would have to agree that it does indeed appear to be mirrow polished in that photo! :thumbup:
 
Polished or not Gordon, that is one super looking knife! You need to sent Liz some flowers or candy! Plus a case of something to the custom shop guys.

That is one beautiful knife. One of these days I will have a Buck in stag. I guess the timing just hasn't be right.

Well the UPS man showed up today with a box with one of those BKI return addresses.
The Elk is very nice and ATS-34 blade is a mirror finish. I also got the Smooth Buff 110 and 112. I'll post some nice pictures tomorrow with some good light.

Just a great BUCK day!!

Oh, I just past 50 on the number of 110s I own with this delivery today. Am I catching up with ya Decaf Dave???
 
I haven't been spendin as much time on here lately and just saw the pic Gordon.
Thats a beauty. Couldn't ask for nicer Elk
 
That is some of the nicest looking elk that I have ever seen come out of the custom shop!!
 
That is a fantastic looking 100 Gordon. Those Elk shoes are just the way I like them, lots of color and bumpy.

That smooth Buff 110 looks quite like my new one I received yesterday.Thanks alot,now you have me pining for a stag handeled 110!No fair!!
