New scabbard, made out of saw mill felt, First attempt I usually use leather,But I just picked a load of this stuff,

Moose, that's a great looking sheath. I like the fabric and leather combination.

Cooper, I have a bunch of similar fabric. It may even be a little heavier than his. It is called mill cloth, used by the paper mills that we have around here. They run sheets of paper on it from roller press to press to dry it out. It gets changed out on a regular basis, whether it's worn out or not. Just had to know someone who worked at the mill. We use it to make deer blinds. It lasts forever.

It looks great. How does it do with moisture retention compared to leather?

Also, what's that beautiful axe it's made for?

Exactly right. That were I got it from, guy that works at the paper mill.
Going to make some c/cut scabbards on the same Idea.
For water proof ones I was thinking of having some nylon sewed on the outside?
probably will just spray some light oil on the inside.
Also, what's that beautiful axe it's made for?
The axe is the arvika I have been working on.
