Bill was kind enough to send me some pics of a new Skinner that he just finished for Bob F

Bills own words:

Joe--Bob Furusho has been trying to get me to make him a skinning knife like I used to make back in the eighties. I finally got the chance, and here it is. The knife is 8 5/8 inches overall, and the blade is just short of 5 inches. It is full tang Satan's lace damascus, and the scales are made of elk antler, attached with iron pins.

The rifle is my favorite hunting rifle, a Shiloh Sharps Business Rifle in 45-70. In the three years I have had it, the rifle has given good success. It has taken several deer, a couple of javalina, two elk, and several hogs shooting traditional black powder ammunition.

This knife is very similar to the hunting knife that I carry, and have carried since 2006. I thought some of the guys might like to look at some of my personal using equipment as well as Bob's new knife.

Best, Bill

Very nice. Reminds me of the utility knife Bill had in his book.

DAAAUMM, that is good looking!

That handle compliments the blade perfectly.

Less IS more.

The stories that Shiloh Sharps and skinner could tell !
Thanks for sharing, Joe & Bill, and Congrats, Bob !
Old school cool !

Very nice. I'm in the middle of making one with some similar traits and have been searching for a 'preview' pic.
