It lacks second hole for handle slabs mounting.

There will be handle kits offered in various colors of G-10 and Micarta. There are also some cool sheath options to be available. KSF will have all the details soon on their site.

As for the price, it is more than the Izula, but remember BRKT is a semi-custom shop. I was ready to buy an Izula then strip and convex it, now I don't have to. I have another knife in BRKT's 12C27 and think it is awesome. I think they'll sell like hotcakes.

Finally, a coated blade without the coating on the cutting edge! No inhibited cutting performance! That took long enough! I hope Busse, Ontario, and Rat is paying attention!;)

I think it is going to be a great knife. I don't have my hands on one yet, but should next week.

It is not a RAT rip off any more than the RAT neck knife is a rip off of all the other skeletonized neck knives out there. If you look at the knives side by side, they are very different.

It won't be for everyone, but I am looking forward to it.

I'm intrigued :) Have an Izula and have been wanting to get a couple other small fixed blades for EDC to have a rotation. Price is a wee bit steep, but it does include the cost of shipping so I guess it's not too terrible. Anyone know if that steel is comparable to any others or where it sits in the standings?

around 440A, 420HC, it's the steel used in stainless Mora knives. Man that is pricey for an air hardening stainless like 12C27 with no handle slabs.
