My great friend Barry Barnardt has just released a new folder and as I gave some input into the design I had the opportunity to acquire the prototype.
Barry is a member of the Knifemakers Guild of South Africa (KGSA) and he is a past chairman of our local provincial guild. He is quietly one of the best folder makers in South Africa making his own unique style and interpretation of what he likes.
This knife is a stretched version of his popular model with a 4" blade and drawn swedge. Steel is Vinland Damasteel with the scales in Textured Twill Weave 3K Fat Carbon. Micro ceramic bearings on hardened steel seats give it an absolutely phenomenal action for such a light knife.
This model is unique in that the clip is attached with hidden fastenings giving the knife an elegant and clean look.
It's super light, super sharp and just a joy to flip. I hope you like it as much as I do.........
