I see alot of folks sellin there new Badger's as soon as they get them ....what's up with that???....I dig mine it's my first busse and i can't wait to get the LE.

INFI does strange things to folks around here. Especially if you grind/sand it and inhale too much. ;)

I think what you are seeing is that people order them to see how they like them. When they decide it's not what they need they sell it to have $$$ to buy another. I fall into this category. I refuse to run up my CC so I try one out, keep it if I like it, if not I will sell it to try another. This goes on until I find the one I most like. They are all awesome but I have limited my self to 3 or 4 pieces I will use. I'm at two right now with a muddy MS on the way. If I like it for an EDC I will keep it. If not I'll trade it or sell it to try another. It's just how some of us who live far from shows and such are able to try them out.
That's my reason anyway. But I did not get a BATAC as I already have that niche covered. I think. ;)

Tyrkon represents a large majority. I will probably keep this one as I want something a tad smaller than my Jack. Many just buy and if they like they keep, if not they sell. Alot of people buy several diff combo's and sell the ones they dont like while keeping the ones they do.

I sell knives because I am fickle. I buy a knife or two. Maybe more (like with the BATACS) because I can't figure out which color combo I like the most and sort of want them all. Then, six months or a year later, I stop loving what I've got and even get a bit bored. Then I see a knife I really want, sell one or two of the ones I'm no longer enthusastic about to someone who will enjoy them. I then take the proceeds and profits and buy the new knife of the moment. Keeps me occupied and happy.

I sold one already -- reluctantly...

I ordered 2, one to use and one for the safe ( and did what some others do -- ordered one standard and one mag, to see which one I like better -- was going to use one and keep the other pristine.)

BUT, the EDC 'ganza came and I had to order a meaner/AD set... Then the knoboganza came around -- and there was that pretty snakewood GW, and a MOJO. Next thing you know, I had accumulated WAY too many orders -- much more than I could pay for.

So the first one that was expendable was the standard handle BATAC. I hated to sell it 'cause it was a sweet little blade. But Like Tyrkon, I just cannot go into cc debt.

Long story - but just giving an honest answer to your question. I often HAVE to sell, never WANT to. :D

Honestly, I ordered 2 Snake/Tan just b/c I knew there was variation in the snake used on teh FBM's and wanted the prettier of the two.

They are identical. LOL

So I'm not sure WHAT I'll do with the spare.

The big problem is that you order a busse, and then a better one comes out, and then a better, and then a better...lol. Most people cant afford to keep them all. The CGFBM was the most expensive knife I have ever bought, and I grabbed a batac also, and then skunk let the fat mistresses out so I grabbed one of them, even though I told myself I only need one FBM...I have been surviving by selling every other knife I have...lol.

I have sold one, and cancelled another that I had ordered because a cunning Skunk conjured up the Evil, lovely, FBM LE... It called me... So, sell some to afford another...

The BATAC LE I ordered will be a keeper though. :)

I have sold quickly for these reasons

1- to have diff. combos to choose from... keep the one I like and sell the other. Also to see and feel the knife in person

2- when my CC can stand no more but another knife comes up I like better than the one I just got.

OK guy's makes sense now....got it !! buy 'em all keep a few.....if you guy's would be so kind as to tell me if the new badger is about the same size as the older ones that are so desirable..

I thought the badger would be a little smaller...but it's still a keeper ...i can't wait to get a sheath made actually 2 sheaths one for the LE when it comes.

thanks for helpin me out here guy's !!

Mark

This is the largest Badger. It is huge for a 5in knife but I love it.

I have only seen the older smaller ones but want one, they look like they would be the perfect size.

it would be cool if someone could post some size comparison pic's of the badger family.
