Anyone played with a Leatherman Pulse or Gerber GatorTool? Anyone know when they will be available? Supposedly, Cabela's already lists the Gator Tool on their website.

I am not sure I really want to give up my Wave, as it is really great. The only real problem I have with it is that the screwdrivers don't lock and have closed up on me before. Other than that, I don't see much need for improvement on the Wave.

Hey Clay, if you get the new Wave tool you won't have to worry about the screwdriver blades closing. I've got one on order.

Good question Clay, if there is a new Wave with locking tools, and I hope there is, then that is (good) news to me.

Also, anyone else think that Leatherman intentionally creates the Wave for instance without locking tools to leave something to improve on? If LM had a Wave with locking tools that didn't come out in clumps, what possible improvements could they ever make?

Makes you wonder if they make them incrementally better on purpose hey?

Thought that someone would have clarified this by now, but I guess not ...

I believe that phantom4 is referring to the new Wave Tool Adapter. It fits the description of having locking drivers, and unless Leatherman is doing something with a secret new Wave (both the adapter and the Pulse are listed on its site), that's all there is.
