Was at a well known Texas based gas station known for their brisket, jerky, and bathrooms. (Not all at once) if you know you know.

Wife was all over looking at T-Shirts. I was strolling. Stopped by their little knife display. Not a lot. A few Boker offerings, some various Bear and Sons offerings, and a couple Kershaws. Thought about getting the Kershaw Antic. But this little guy caught my eye.

I have 1 bear & sons knife. And although I’m not the most impressed with it. I got it due to the SMKW exclusive. But I was a Fire Fighter in the Navy. So any red and black (especially those that resemble a thin red line) is cool in my book. (I’d love to find a Buck Spitfire with the red blade)

But I got it out of the box. Rinsed the stock oils off. Soaped, dried, reapplied my oil. I must say. Nice action, great lock up. We will see how it holds up over the week.

I will add. This one “Bear Edge” I know the Bear & Sons company has a few lines.

But like I said my first and only experience with them was the Bear & Sons Beer Tender. Which I’ll admit is more novelty than anything else. Wasn’t great out of the box. Was kinda surprised from a USA company. Didn’t seem like a well thought out knife, seemed half finished. The bottle opener was huge and could have been utilized better. And the main blade was pretty much completely unsharpened. I’ve since modified the cap lifter part and put a edge on the blade. But didn’t expect to have to on a U.S. made knife.

But this one the edge is nice and sharp. Pretty even grind. Maybe the “Bear & Sons” is just a lower tier?

Nice. That’s one hell of a gas station!!
I don’t want to get in trouble for advertising. But it’s known for its size and more of a shopping center/rest stop at this point. They started in Texas. Over the last few years have started branching out.

Ahhh, bathrooms. Now I get it. Always headed straight for the snacks. Never thought to look for knives. Sure will next time.

Yup! Cleanest public bathrooms I’ve seen anywhere. Let alone gas stations lol.

Yea nothing to write home about. But cool enough impulse buy.
