Hi all.
I originally joined BladeForums to learn more about folding knives. I thought that I had enough fixed blades but after accidentally clicking on the BK&T forum last week, and reading a lot of posts, it seems that I was sadly mistaken. What gorgeous knives! I couldn't decide what to buy at first but decided on a standard--- the BK2. It should arrive on Thursday. I do not think that will be the end of it though.
 
congrats i was the same way then the bug bit i got the bk2 then the 13 and my 11 with new tommythewho grips should be here monday!!

Yeah, my wife got me the Bk-2 for Christmas this year. I can't keep my hands off of it I love it so much - I think she regrets buying it for me!! Now I want the BK-16. I have used it a lot already it does so many things so well. I don't care what anyone else says, if I could have only one knife it would be the BK2.
I immediately took the nylon web off of the sheath and replaced it with a tek-lok.
 
You're not officially addicted until you get your first one in hand. Until then you're suffering from Becker envy which can only be cured by having your own & then owning all of them! :D

Welcome to the BK&T world. I've had my BK2 for one year now exactly and absolutely love it. It goes everywhere with me and is a fantastic no-nonsense, general purpose knife. In fact it's still my only Becker knife, I just haven't felt compelled to add another - this one does it all so well I don't feel I'm lacking enough to add another (not saying I NEVER will, just not rushed to at the moment, that's how great a companion the BK2 is). I do have a Boker Plus PSK (small fixed blade) that I carry in town on my belt when I want to look a bit more "genteel", but around my rural home and in the wilderness it's always the BK2 on my side.
 
Welcome! Becker addiction is kind of like owning a Jeep, they suck up all your money and you have way to much fun with them :D
 
Thanks for the warm welcome. Well, I checked into the snark thread and read about 20 pages. As promised, there was a lot of free beer but I was still thirsty so I had to buy some beer, Scotch and some sippin whiskey. Checked back into the snark thread again and was dismayed to find 10 more pages. Is it possible to actually finish the thread? I may have to make another booze run.
Tracking info says that the BK2 will arrive on Thursday.

The 2 is my first as well. I plan to get others. I'm an addict too.

I'd love a 10. The 10 is....after spending hours looking at photos and reading about it......my holy grail. I'd love to have one, but I can't afford what most people area asking for it.
Next up though is a Necker. After that I'm going to get the wife a 16.
Then maybe after that I'm going to get a 7.
 
Welcome from another newbie to the forum. I got my start with a BK-2 back in the 90's. Finally broke down and got a 7 for christmas. Most likely will have an 11 before spring.
 
Welcome Ray and enjoy that new BK2. It'll serve you for life, if you want it to, that's for sure!
